Monday here is called Pentecost, όπος λέμε Πεντηκοστή, and so it’s a holiday. So we had many days to spend with friends and family and on top of that the temperature reached 36 degrees!!
Friday we had a family dinner with G’s family, Moules frites
Saturday we had a BBQ with some friends and played pétanque, or as I know it boule.
Sunday we went to lake Chalain, 2h drive from our place, together with two of G’s cousins and their families. I had no idea I would take a dip, but as the temperature was reaching the top thirties and it was not the ocean, the water was not too bad! Sorry no, I can’t give you the temperature of the water 😛
In the evening we stopped by Chalon where there was the International Balloon Festival. We saw around 50 air balloons lift which maybe doesn’t sound too interesting but it is a really nice view. Finished the day with Indian food in Chalon.
And yesterday, Monday Pentecost, we could barely move as it was so hot.
Also during this weekend A who lived with us moved out, so in the heat we were running up and down stairs and also cleaning up the apartment, you know how you vaccum the same room 3 times but somehow something ends up on the floor anyway? Well now it’s clean and we are looking for a Clic Clac (a convertible couch) for our coming visitors! 😀 You will now have a room to yourselves 😀 Welcome!
