Uppsalas cathedral is a marvelous sight. And the weather Gods have been generous with the sun and blue skies during our northern holiday trip.
With the cathedrals 118m high towers it is the highegst church in the Nordic countries. This is the an lookout from the castle.
Memories, feels a long time ago.
Yes, in Sweden we like tubes and put food in them like caviar and also soft cheese.
Another Swedish tradition is the Swedish meatballs which are served with lingon berry jam.
This gingerbread house one a gold metal/first price and I do understand why.
Finished off the central city with a traditional fika…
…and a Tripple Cheese from Max (a Swedish burger chain) in the evening! 🙂
Thank you Uppsala for showing yourself from your good side and thanks to my loveliest friend T for our great weekend all together! ❤
And: Kiitos mansikka oman potkuja, oli kiva tavata! //täti Theo ❤
For one weekend Lyon is filled with different lights around the city. We went to have a looksy. At 5pm no cars were allowed in the city center. Also the metro stations were closed, part from 2. The amount of people was insane. I want to compare it to any festival. To go from one spot to another you really have to go with the flow as it is impossible to walk faster.
Though we were truly lucky as it was not raining and it was not too cold and the evening it was even less cooler than the day.
Here are some of the buildings and things we saw.
Two lightful men were around
Lullabies were played here, like entering a baby’s chamber.
This last finishing one was showing Lyon skyline and it was really nice though very hard to capture on a photo.
Babe came back from his works Xmas-dinner and his every year gift card. This time he had another gift a sportsbag…I thought. Then I looked closer and it was by Benetton, nice.
No but hang on. It’s not what I thought. It’s a picnic-bag! Never seen this style and I sure had no idea than a big clothing line was also producing all-included picnic bags! But we say thank you!
Last Friday it was so warm, yes 17 degrees actually. I woke up and noticed how the beams of the sun penetrated my blinds and decided to shoot some hoops outdoor. For 1h. I felt the sun warming up my face and I was sweating from the running around, dribbling, shooting and all that fun stuff.
Next day, Saturday, I baked lussekatter. Traditional Swedish Xmas buns.
Yes..so one day I was playing ball outside with the sun in my face and next day I was baking and eating lussekatter. And I’m not in Australia, no no, still in France.
And now I will continue reading the Celestine Prophecy, thanks M for giving it to me! And thanks A for naming it!
